Meet our "mommas" who carry our dreams for the future!

Sheza Flight Angel

1998 Appaloosa

Angel descends from the Hall of Fame Appaloosa Colida on the topside (3rd generation) and 3E Sterling, Coinage and Bimbo Redrock on the bottom side.  She is Foundation Pedigree Registered and has earned ApHC points in Halter.

She is the pasture ham and my dad nick named her "Iceberg" b/c she is big, white and floats about here and there crashing into whatever she wants!

Angel gave us Skye, a beautiful snowcap filly in May 2008. See her on the 2008 Foals Page

Angel is confirmed in foal to Raleigh's Full Moon for a 2010 AWR/ApHC Foal

Noxies Storm

2002 Thoroughbred

Ever heard of Storm Cat?  The leading sire of Thoroughbred racehorses?  Storm Cat is Noxie's Grandsire on the topside.  She had a promising career as a stakes winner which was cut short by a hock injury.

The silver lining is she now is at home here at Buckthorn.  She is a very shy, very tall (17h+) sweetheart of a mare.  She is the love of my big gelding Patriot's life.

Noxie is open for the 2009 foaling season. We anticipate a breeding to Rafter Two for a 2010 Appendix QH full sibling to Blu Summer Storm

King Ponkos Skip

1994 Quarter Horse

"Momma" is from the fine foundation lines of Skipper W, King and Leo.  She is an old hand at the baby game, having been mother to 5 fine babies. She is a chow hound for sure!

She is the dam of our young "Birdie" Hotroddin Ponko and "Honey" Quincys May Queen

Momma delivered a beautiful APHA/ABRA filly by "Tex" Zippin and Confusion of BMB Paints.  See Honor on the 2009 Foals Page

Cassie Canyon

1996 Thoroughbred

Cassie is from the lines of Diemdoff and Poteet Canyon.  She had success on the track as a sprinter before being retired to broodmare status.  She has the build that I like to see in an athletic jumper.  She is full of energy and loves Patriot, my big gelding with a passion.

She is bred to KR Shahzada of B Bar B Ranch Performance Horses for a March 2008 Anglo-Arab foal!

HE"S HERE!  See 2008 Foals!

Cassie is confirmed in foal to Raleighs Full Moon of Moonrock Sporthorses for a  May 2009 AWR/AQHA foal

We anticipate a breeding to Saint Sandro from Golden Venture Farms for a 2010 Oldenburg/AWR foal

After a nice shower on a hot summer day!

BH Reveilles Banjo

2003 Quarter Horse

Dolly comes from the outstanding breeding program of the Hurley Ranch in Clarksville, AR.  She is a very calm and sweet buttermilk buckskin.  She is a quick learner and easy to handle.   She has Smug Reed (2x) and Two Eyed Jack on her papers.  She will be an outstanding horse anyway you take her.

Dolly gave us a beautiful red dun APHA filly by Dontca Luv Magic of Thunderstorm Paint Horses, a baby which will be eligible for the TOVO, Landrush, Tri-Color and Spot or Not Futurities! See Magic on the 2009 Foals Page!
