Meet our "mommas" who carry our dreams for the future! Sheza Flight Angel 1998 Appaloosa
Angel descends from the Hall of Fame Appaloosa Colida on the topside (3rd generation) and 3E Sterling, Coinage and Bimbo Redrock on the bottom side. She is Foundation Pedigree Registered and has earned ApHC points in Halter. She is the pasture ham and my dad nick named her "Iceberg" b/c she is big, white and floats about here and there crashing into whatever she wants!

Ever heard of Storm Cat? The leading sire of Thoroughbred racehorses? Storm Cat is Noxie's Grandsire on the topside. She had a promising career as a stakes winner which was cut short by a hock injury. The silver lining is she now is at home here at Buckthorn. She is a very shy, very tall (17h+) sweetheart of a mare. She is the love of my big gelding Patriot's life. Noxie is open for the 2009 foaling season. We anticipate a breeding to Rafter Two for a 2010 Appendix QH full sibling to Blu Summer Storm
King Ponkos Skip 1994 Quarter Horse
"Momma" is from the fine foundation lines of Skipper W, King and Leo. She is an old hand at the baby game, having been mother to 5 fine babies. She is a chow hound for sure! She is the dam of our young "Birdie" Hotroddin Ponko and "Honey" Quincys May Queen Momma delivered a beautiful APHA/ABRA filly by "Tex" Zippin and Confusion of BMB Paints. Cassie Canyon 1996 Thoroughbred
Cassie is from the lines of Diemdoff and Poteet Canyon. She had success on the track as a sprinter before being retired to broodmare status. She has the build that I like to see in an athletic jumper. She is full of energy and loves Patriot, my big gelding with a passion. She is bred to KR Shahzada of B Bar B Ranch Performance Horses for a March 2008 Anglo-Arab foal! HE"S HERE! See 2008 Foals! Cassie is confirmed in foal to Raleighs Full Moon of Moonrock Sporthorses for a May 2009 AWR/AQHA foal We anticipate a breeding to Saint Sandro from Golden Venture Farms for a 2010 Oldenburg/AWR foal After a nice shower on a hot summer day! Jonannie 1994 Thoroughbred "Sweety" is a beautiful Arab-type TB mare. After a limited career on the track she came to me after the owner of Brushy Creek ranch rescued her and Princess from starvation. She is extremely sweet and a bit timid. She is a daugther of Space Station who is by Mr. Prospector She is bred to KR Shahzada of B Bar B Ranch Performance Horses for a April 2008 Anglo-Arab foal! He's here! She will be in "horsey heaven" on their beautiful pastures and in their wonderful breeding program!
Speed Princess 1995 Thoroughbred Princess is Sweety's dear friend. She is a daughter of Native Stepper. She never ran on the track as far as I know and is a bit afraid of people after her life experiences but she wants desperately to be loved. We are making progress with her and everyday she trusts a little more. She is a beautiful forward mover! Princess foaled a handsome bay Tobiano colt by Sierras Jet Smoke of Walker Farms. BH Reveilles Banjo 2003 Quarter Horse Dolly comes from the outstanding breeding program of the Hurley Ranch in Clarksville, AR. She is a very calm and sweet buttermilk buckskin. She is a quick learner and easy to handle. She has Smug Reed (2x) and Two Eyed Jack on her papers. She will be an outstanding horse anyway you take her. Dolly gave us a beautiful red dun APHA filly by Dontca Luv Magic of Thunderstorm Paint Horses, a baby which will be eligible for the TOVO, Landrush, Tri-Color and Spot or Not Futurities!
