2009 Show String As an enthusiastic novice amateur, I enjoy so much having such a talent group of horses on my farm. I am also richly blessed with friends who are excellent horsepeople who help me. My colts are trained by Tony Jordan, Beth Lowery is my Hunt Seat and Driving Coach, Cheri Vogelpohl-Barnard is my dressage coach. I also have many great friends who show with me and a couple I'm trying to convert! One Dun Blonde 2003 Appaloosa CHECK OUT GUSTY'S PERSONAL PAGE!
Zips Gold Flame 2005 Paint
Flame is a diva already! She is beautiful and knows it. She is Zippo Pine Bar bred and has the makings of a excellent dressage horse. She has amazing self carriage. She did well in her first year of showing with me as her VERY amateur handler. We finished as High Point Mare in the Longbranch Farm Show Series and earned 3 OCAP awards in 2006, Champion Longe-Line, Reserve Champion in Showmanship and 3rd in Jr Mares at Halter.. Flame has had 180 days training with Tony Jordan of Jordan Performance Horses.
A couple of photos from her 2nd Place Finish in Sport Horse in Hand as a 2 yo (score of 76%) at the Valley View Summer Sizzler Show
Being a show horse is tough sometimes!
Flame was started under saddle by Brad Williams of Williams Performance Horses. He said she is very supple and soft with lots of natural flexibility. Here are some photos of Flame under saddle with Tony Jordan
ZCC Cash Money 2005 Paint Gelding Chips came to me as a starved and hairy yearling from a local horse sale. He is a Solid Paint Bred and has been show in the Arkansas Paint Horse Club and open horse shows in Halter. He is very very sweet and willing. He takes baths and loads like an old pro! Sadly Chips lost his left eye from a very aggresive fungal infection in the Spring of 2009 but that isn't going to slow us down! He is the just same horse as he was before so our plans for the show ring haven't changed! We may have to move slower but we will still shoot for our 60% ADS medal this year!
What a difference a few months makes, shed off and filled out beautifully! Here he is as we get ready for the June 2007 Arkansas APHA show. (Show photos above courtesy of Conway High School Photography Club)
Chips is doing great in the show pen! He is being shown in the Arkansas Paint Horse Club circuit and is enrolled in the APHC OCAP program Accomplishments APHC March Madness & Tune in June HiPoint SPB, 1st Amatuer SPB Geldings, 1st SPB Jr. Geldings Westark Reserve Champion Jr. Geldings 2007 & OCAP 2007 Champion Jr. Geldings OCAP 2008 Reserve Champion Showmanship and Sr.Geldings Chips has had 60 days of training with Tony Jordan, owner of Jordan Performance Horses, in Atkins, AR.
Here is some video of Chip's first ride after a 4 months layoff. He is as willing and honest as the day is long!
